We have been advised of a couple of road closures in the area in the coming weeks and months.
Road Closure 1 From 06:00 on 27 April, 2016, until 24:00 on 29 April, 2016,
Craigton Road, between its junction with Friarsfield Road and Northcote
Crescent will be closed. Access to properties will be maintained, but no through
traffic will be possible. The measure is necessary to protect
public safety during carriageway resurfacing works.
Alternate Route : An alternative route is available via Springfield Road, Countesswells Road and Craigton Road
Road Closure 2 From 06:00 on 3 May, 2016, until 24:00 on 9 July, 2016. Countesswells Road, between its junctions with the Cults-Kingshill junction and the Craigton Road will be closed.
Access to properties will be maintained, but no through traffic will be possible. The measure is necessary to protect
public safety during multi-utility installation works for a new housing development.
Alternate Route : An alternative route is available via the Kirk
Brae, Friarsfield Road, the Craigton Road, and
Springfield Road.

Local Policing Report - March 2016
The March Performance Summary for March 2016 has been circulated by the West End Local Policing Team.
The main points of the report are:
Quality of life calls have increased by 8 from 5 to 13
(Motor cycle annoyance -1 Drug/substance misuse - 2 and public nuisance - 10)
The rise in public nuisance has been attributed to lighter nights and related to "knock and run" type calls in Craigton Road. The nuisance had been caused by a number of youths who were reprimanded in front of their parents.
There were 3 reported Housebreakings from garages and 4 reported thefts from motor vehicles. 4 Vandalism was reported.
Overall reported crimes were up by 6
The local policing team are based at Whinhill and request that if any suspicious activity is seen they are contacted, either as an emergency on 999 or on the Police Scotland Service Centre at 101.
