Local Transport Plan consultation

Aberdeen City Council has started its Public and Stakeholder Consultation on the Draft Aberdeen Local Transport Strategy (2023-2030). The consultation will run over an 8 week period until 12th January 2024.

In order to gauge feedback on the plan, a questionnaire has been developed. All the documents can be accessed at the Council’s official site at https://consultation.aberdeencity.gov.uk/planning/lts/ along with the questionnaire.

These include:
The draft Aberdeen Local Transport Strategy (2023-2030)
The draft Aberdeen Local Transport Strategy (2023-2030) “Easy to Read” document
The draft Aberdeen Local Transport Strategy (2023-2030) “At a glance£ document
The draft Aberdeen Local Transport Strategy (2023-2030) “Reader-Friendly” plain text document
The Main Issues Report
The Options Appraisal Report
The Policies vs Objectives and Outcomes paper
The Proposed Monitoring Framework
The draft Aberdeen Air Quality Action Plan (2023-2028)
The Strategic Environmental Assessment
The Habitats regulation Assessment
The Health Impact Assessment Framework
The Economic Endorsement

Integrated Impact Assessments, both for the Local Transport Strategy and this consultation, are also available on the Council’s website Search Integrated Impact Assessments | Aberdeen City Council

In addition, hard copies of the documents and questionnaires are available in all city libraries and at Marischal College customer service centre during standard opening hours. The Strategic Environmental Assessment hard copy (due to the size) is only available in Marischal College and hard copy Environmental Impact Assessments are available on request.

Once the consultation ends, any feedback will be used to inform the final Local Transport Strategy. The Council are hoping to report this back to the relevant Council committee for adoption in 2024. A report, summarising the feedback and how it has been considered, will also accompany this as an additional appendix.

Description automatically generated

In Spring this year, the Scottish COVID-19 Inquiry launched its listening project, Let’s Be Heard: Sharing Scotland’s COVID Experience. The Inquiry is keen to ensure that the views of everyone in Scotland are represented.

There is an opportunity for people across Scotland to share their experiences of the pandemic before the project’s national engagement phase ends on 20 December 2023.

Let’s Be Heard is inviting everyone affected by the COVID-19 pandemic in Scotland to share their experiences with the Inquiry. By hearing directly from people across the country, the Inquiry can better understand how the pandemic impacted our lives and communities. This will help Scotland to learn important lessons for the future.

You're encouraged to share your experience with them by contacting
