Police Report - July 2017
Sergeant David Cowie of the West End team says,
"There continues to be a spread of Theft by housebreaking incidents across the area and people are
again asked to make sure doors are locked and keys stored securely. One male has been
reported on warrant for two of the reported incidents this month.
Overall acquisitive crime remains low.
There were five incidents involving drugs in the Mannofield area. As a result of these five
separate calls, one male was arrested for being concerned in the supply of controlled drugs and
one male was charged with possession of a controlled drug.
The seven anti-social behaviour calls in the Mannofield area predominantly refer to youth annoyance.
Of the two vandalisms in the Mannofield area; one refers to mindless damage to a vehicle while the other refers to accidental damage to property.
There have been no significant road traffic accidents in the area over the month of June 2017".
Forthcoming Operations:
There is a planned Traffic operation for Monday 7 and Tuesday 8 August 2017. Anyone driving in an anti-social manner and / or speeding will be dealt with appropriately by local Officers.
The local policing team are based at Whinhill and request that if any suspicious activity is seen they are contacted, either as an emergency on 999 or on the Police Scotland Service Centre at 101.
