New Members Required - Fact Sheet
The Community Council is always looking for new members. Braeside and Mannofield Community Council can have up to 12 members on the Council. We currently have 9.
Anyone who lives within the Community Council area and whose name is on the electoral roll can be nominated or can apply to become a Community Councillor.
There are also places for young people aged 16 and 17 years and other co-options are allowed.
Community Council Elections are held in October on a 3 year basis on dates, determined by a Returning Officer nominated by Aberdeen City Council. The next election will be in October this year, 2018.
In addition to election, members can be co-opted to the council as the term of office progresses.
