BESS Appeal upheld

It is very disappointing to report that the Reporter, appointed by the Scottish Government, has upheld the appeal submitted regarding the planning application to develop a Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) on the land opposite Ben Reid on Countesswells Road.

The planning application was originally refused by the City Council and the appeal was challenged by the neighbouring Community Councils and, over 100 objectors.  Despite all this representation the scheme has been given the go ahead.

There is no further possibility to appeal. The decision can only be challenged through a judicial review if there is serious, substantial evidence of malpractice, procedural errors etc.
