Lower Deeside Banking Petition

Our local MSP, Liam Kerr, has asked us to publicise his petition to have a banking hub established in Lower Deeside.

He says: "In recent years, Lower Deeside – including #Cults, #Bieldside, #Milltimber, and #Peterculter – has lost all of its local bank branches.

​The nearest banks are now in #Aberdeen, but for many residents – especially older people or those without access to a car – that journey simply isn’t feasible.

Local businesses and residents alike have told me they still rely on in-person banking services. That is why there is growing demand for a banking hub in Lower Deeside.

LINK, the organisation responsible for making these hubs happen, has so far refused to act. I’m in ongoing dialogue with them, but it would really help if I could demonstrate the strength of local support.
