Community Engagement & Reassurance
Op Colonnade
In response to local concerns around youth Anti-social behaviour across the West End and Hazelhead Community Policing beat, local officers have launched Op Colonnade. The aim of this Operation is to carry out a mixture of both hi-visibility and plain clothed patrols in areas known for youth Anti-social behaviour on the run up to and over the Easter holidays. Officers will look to engage positively with the local young people with a view to breaking down barriers and building relationships, to get views on what our young people would like in their area as part of a wider partnership approach. Where there is anti-social or criminal behaviour officers will investigate these, gather the available evidence and report those responsible to our Youth Justice Management Unit or the Procurator Fiscal.
