Sneak in Thefts
Our local Policing Unit are dealing with a number of reports of sneak-in thefts in our area.
About 10.30pm on Tuesday 28th at around 10.30pm a house on Bayview Road was entered and a wallet was stolen.
About 4.30am on Thursday 30 January, a resident in Craigielea Mews disturbed and intruder in the kitchen of his home. The intruder who is described as a white male, of medium build and with a local accent. He was wearing a waterproof hooded jacket, dark trousers and shoes at the time of the theft.
When challenged the man ran from the house in the direction of Seafield Road.
Inspector Lisa Sim has reminded residents to stay vigililant and report any suspicious activity or people to Police Scotland immediately.
She said, “I would take this opportunity to remind residents to review your home security and ensure all doors and windows are secured, as well as to check around your homes that all entry and exit points are properly secured.”

Police Scotland have confirmed a 40-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with sneak-in thefts in the West End and Airyhall areas. He is due to appear at Aberdeen Sheriff Court on Monday, 3 February 2020.
