Food Waste Caddy Liners

Councillor Ian Yuill made enquiry with council staff and the response was that the caddy liner distribution points are now temporarily closed in response to the latest government advice on coronavirus. and the Council is currently not providing caddy liners.
As an alternative to caddy liners it is advised that:

- An ice cream tub or other container should be used to collect food waste and then tipped directly into your communal food waste bin or brown bin.
- Food scraps should be wrapped in newspaper or paper towels and put directly into your communal food waste bin or brown bin.
- Uncooked food such as fruit and vegetable peelings should be home composted. Some food waste can be composted at home and we encourage residents to do this.
Bio degradable food caddy liners can be also be bought from supermarkets or on-line at various outlets
