Aberdeen Air Quality Project
Air Quality Aberdeen https://www.airaberdeen.org is a community project to build and host air quality monitors which will generate a detailed picture of what the air quality of Aberdeen is really like.
The first phase of the project saw members of the public pay for, and build their own devices to take home and make live on their home wifi. There are almost 40 devices now live which you can see here: https://deutschland.
We have now obtained funding from local companies for 30 more sensor devices. We will be running workshops to build those. We need help to identify locations where communities have concerns about air quality, and also identify potential hosts for new devices in those areas. That could be a citizen or a business. We can help with installation and set-up. Running costs would be minimal. The devices runs off a USB adapter and uploads tiny packets of data every few minutes.
