Grampian Gathering - 12th October 2024

The Health and social Care partnerships (City Aberdeenshire and Moray) on behalf of public health are hosting the Grampian Gathering at the Beach Ballroom on 12th October 2024 at 10:30am to 4pm.

Who is this for? The Gathering is targeted for people over 50 years old who are in retirement or contemplating retirement. There will be various engaging speakers, stalls, workshops and taster sessions showcasing all the various groups and charities to promote and encourage people to join groups and to take up opportunities to volunteer.

What is it about? The intention behind the Gathering is to promote discussion and subsequent planning of a good retirement and help people be more aware of the community based activities, initiatives, groups and organisations across the region. Find out more about community groups and activities, how to find funding for your group or funding to run activities. Learn from people already running activities.

What is on at the gathering? There will be various stalls and tables showcasing all the various groups and charities to promote and encourage people to join groups to stay well and connected to their communities. You can try activities and join groups and charities where possible take up opportunities to volunteer.

There are over 50 stalls from community & voluntary sector and some taster sessions and more workshops and the over 50 feedback forum on age friendly programs and what these age friendly programs should consider and implement.
